Get to know: Roxanne, pharmacist

Roxanne is a pharmacist with a passion for oncology who has been working at Larivière and Massicotte Pharmacy since 2017. Since 2018, she has been responsible for continuing education for pharmacists, an essential aspect of their specialized practice.

She is also dedicated to advancing oncology practice in the community. To this end, she writes scientific articles (e.g., in Québec Pharmacie and the Journal of Oncology Practice), coordinates newsletters on the latest developments and specificities of oncology treatments for participating community pharmacists, and provides oncology training sessions for both the public and pharmacists.

Roxanne earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Laval University before pursuing her pharmacy studies. What motivates her to come to work every day is knowing that she can make a difference for patients by guiding them through their treatments and helping them take charge of their health.

Outside of work, Roxanne has a keen interest in Asian culture, especially Japanese culture. She is learning Japanese for fun in her spare time and loves attending Japanese festivals and markets. She particularly enjoys Japanese cuisine: sushi, of course, but also donburi, ramen, gyoza, and okonomiyaki! And guess what? She can even assist her patients in Japanese!
