United against cystic fibrosis: we were there with you
The “Make Cystic Fibrosis History” Walks, a symbol of hope
Organized by Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the walks raised $2.3 million across Canada. Walks in Quebec raised $254,277, all in support of research, public policy and support programs for patients and their families.
We’re proud to have taken part in this mobilization for a cause close to our hearts.
This event allows us to meet patients and their caregivers, and to better understand the day-to-day realities of people living with CF, making our therapeutic approach even more humane.
A gathering for the cause
Above all, these walks are a time for all those affected by this disease to come together. Patients, families, friends, caregivers and members of the general public gather to walk together, united by the same goal: to beat cystic fibrosis and raise funds for research.
Celebrating victories
The atmosphere at the walks is unique. There’s a palpable joie de vivre, and the smiles, laughter and mutual encouragement are omnipresent, creating an atmosphere of hope and solidarity that gives courage to all. Thanks to advances in research and the commitment of healthcare professionals and patient associations, quality of life and life expectancy have improved considerably in recent years.
These walks are also a way of highlighting and encouraging all those who contribute to the advancement of research.
